FS Nelson Sidelined for Rest of Season

In a season so great, the news could not be worst for one of the leagues hard hitting safeties -Reggie Nelson-. In a freak turn of events during the Jaguars at Seahawks game Reggie was having a typical game, went for a tackle early in the 4th Qtr and broke his ankle. It was believe that Reggie would be able to return but the team kept him out as a precaution. It was later determined that Reggie would require surgery and time off the field. The team is looking to put Nelson on IR and quickly sign a replacement if you can replace a player of his caliber. The Jaguars have prepared for the day when any player goes down with depth at many of the positions. The Jags will look to Gerald Alexander to pick up where Nelson left off, but will add security at the position with a FA signing. "This could not have come at a worse time, I was actually having a productive season. I just will have to be the 12th man from the sideline." Nelson was quoted as he was leaving the teams training location. The Jags stand at 11-2 and lead the AFC South as the AFC Playoff Race takes shape.
